Finance Authority Finances MidAmerican Global Ventures

The Finance Authority has closed on a financing with MidAmerican Global Ventures (MAG Ventures). MAG Ventures will use the funding to establish an EB-5 Regional Center to help Ohio businesses and qualified foreign investors fund new ventures, expand operations, and create jobs. U.S. Customs and Immigration sets aside EB-5 visas each year for immigrant investors who make project investments through an EB-5 Regional Center.

“MidAmerican Global Ventures is pleased to play a key role in finding new sources of capital for job-creating projects” said Brian Hicks, MidAmerican Global Ventures’ Managing Director. “We could not have done this without strong partners like the Columbus-Franklin County Finance Authority. Accessing capital remains a pivotal piece of completing challenging projects.”

The immigrant investor must invest $500,000 in a project that creates at least 10 full-time jobs in designated areas. Immigrant investors then receive a green card for themselves and their immediate family. MAG Ventures will focus on job creating projects, such as mixed-use real estate development; hospitals, medical offices and laboratories; hotels, restaurants and retail; advanced technology and energy; manufacturing, distribution, and logistics facilities; and public buildings and infrastructure. MAG Ventures will offer competitive debt financing; for more information, click on the MidAmerican logo:
