Finance Authority President Jean Carter Ryan Receives MORPC’s Regional Leadership Award

Today, the Columbus-Franklin County Finance Authority announced that President Jean Carter Ryan was honored with the 2019 Regional Leadership Award by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC). The award recognizes individuals doing extraordinary efforts to ensure the future viability in the region’s communities. Additionally, the award is derived from MORPC’s continued dedication to addressing issues that transcend community boundaries and to stimulating visionary thinking.  Review video of award presentation.

“I am humbled and honored to receive the Regional Leadership Award,” said Ryan. “Central Ohio is full of people who find meaningful ways to make our communities a better place to live for everyone. I am privileged to be a part of this community.”

The award was presented at MORPC’s State of the Region luncheon, an annual one-day event which brought together over 4000 key political, business and civic leaders to celebrate the region’s accomplishments and address future challenges and opportunities.

Ryan has also served on the boards of COTA, Mid-Ohio Development Exchange, OSU Knowlton School of Alumni and the Ohio Economic Development Association. She is also a founding member of Women in Public Finance.
