We’re pleased to announce the addition of Shawn Keller, President and CEO of Buckeye State Bank, to the Columbus-Franklin County Finance Authority Board of Directors, appointed by the Franklin County Commissioners. “Shawn brings the knowledge of community banking that is so important to our work,” says Finance Authority President Patty Huddle. “Our Board is very active in project approvals, strategy, and policy development. I’m confident he’ll add insight and guidance to these very important discussions.”
We also are sad to see Christian Gonzalez, who was appointed by the city of Columbus, depart the Board effective July 1, 2025 to relocate with his family to Cincinnati for his new role as Chief Legal Counsel at Fifth Third Bank. He has been a meaningful contributor to the Finance Authority Board since 2023. “We’re sorry to see Christian leave our market, but we’re not surprised he was offered such a major role,” says Huddle. “He’s been a true asset on our Board. He is missed.”
Gonzalez departed the Board July 1, 2025, and Keller assumed duties June 17, 2025.
