The Lane

The Columbus-Franklin County Finance Authority was able to help Lane Avenue Redevelopment LLC by issuing taxable revenue bonds and creating a capital lease.

Lane Avenue is a bustling thoroughfare in the Columbus suburb of Upper Arlington. In response to market demand, the Lane Avenue Redevelopment LLC built a mixed-use development with more than 100 apartment units, office and retail space, a 109-room Homewood Suites Hotel, as well as a parking garage and surface lot. The Finance Authority was able to help the developers in the transformation of the site by issuing taxable revenue bonds and creating a capital lease, which provided upfront savings to the developer.

How we helped:

  • Issued $18.5 million in taxable revenue bonds

  • Provided a financing solution to lower cost of the project

  • Facilitated 200 construction jobs and nearly 100 full-time jobs
