911 Parsons Avenue

Acquisition and renovation of vacant, blighted building which will be used to deliver community programming to Columbus’ South Side.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
The addition of this building to the Community Development for All People campus will deliver:
  • Classrooms for a Learning Extension Center (LEC), which provide a safe space where students have internet access and staff support to engage successfully in virtual learning while schools are closed. An estimated additional 40 students will be served. All LECs are open five days per week for the full school day, which provides more stability for the students and allows parents the opportunity to work outside the home.
  • Computer stations that will give community members access to the internet for job searches, telehealth appointments, and other resources.
  • Meeting space for Thrive 2 Five programming, giving space to parents to learn how to help their children enter Kindergarten ready to learn.
