Finance Authority President Jean Carter Ryan and DiPerna Advisors Founder Michael DiPerna and their staff recently hosted a large group of guests at a reception at the Municipal Light Plant on W. Nationwide Blvd across from the new Crew Stadium. The Municipal Light Plant is an ambitious historic adaptive reuse project headed by developer Brad DeHays and his firm, Connect Real Estate.
Guests mingled in the sun-lit three-story lobby and event space, took tours of the building (already fully leased with about a dozen tenants, including Columbus Crew management), and enjoyed sweeping skyline views from the building’s large rooftop patio. DeHays and other speakers recognized many people involved in the nearly decade-long development process. CFFA contributed capital lease financing to the project, bolstering DeHays’ patient pursuit of state and federal historic tax credits. It all came together to bring a long-abandoned structure back to life.
The project was designed by Sandvick Architects. We’re proud to provide financing to a variety of Connect historic projects.
